Bingo to benefit H.O.B. Scholarship Fund Feb. 12

February 10, 2019

The Milton Community Foundation is hosting its third annual bingo fundraiser at  7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Milton Fire Hall, 116 Front St., Milton.

Proceeds will go toward the new H.O. Brittingham Scholarship Fund, named in memory of Herman Oscar Brittingham who worked for the Milton School District for 36 years. The first scholarships will be given to graduates of the class of 2019 who plan to enter the field of education.

The foundation supports the community through its ability to sponsor and support various projects and programs. In the last year, the foundation helped sponsor summer concerts in the park and the Christmas tree lighting event. The foundation donated a new freezer to the Milton Community Food Pantry, and contributed funds to the Cape Henlopen High School Cap and Gown Program.

There will be $1,100 in cash prizes, as well as door prizes, food and beverages.

Tickets bought in advance are $20, and admission at the door is $25. To reserve a spot, contact Lisa at the Mercantile at 302-664-1840. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

To support the scholarship fund, make a check payable to the H.O. Brittingham Scholarship Fund and send it to the Milton Community Foundation, P.O. Box 21, Milton, DE 19968.
