Bloody Mary Sundays benefit Milton Historical Society

September 20, 2019

Paul Cullen, chef and owner of Paul’s Kitchen & Cullen-ary Company, recently introduced Bloody Mary Sundays, a delicious new addition to his Sunday Pop Up Markets, featuring George’s Bloody Mary Mixes. The weekly event allows locals to sip Bloody Marys, mimosas, beer and wine while enjoying Cullen’s hand-selected Italian foods and listening to live music, all in support of the Milton Historical Society.

Locals and visitors can stop by for Bloody Mary Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sundays through Dec. 31, at Paul’s Kitchen, 32882 Cedar Grove Road, Lewes. George’s Bloody Mary Mix is the creation of Berlin, Md. resident Gary David with partners Theda Bakis and Alex Bakis Esham; it features a full line of Bloody Mary flavors including spicy, mild, Old Bay and Zatarain’s Cajun.

Spirits for the cocktails served at Bloody Mary Sundays are provided by Beach Time Distilling, owned by Lewes locals Greg and Mary Ann Christmas, who are known for their ultra-premium hand-crafted spirits.

The Milton Historical Society is a nonprofit cultural and educational organization dedicated to increasing the public’s understanding and appreciation of the history of Milton and the Broadkill Hundred. It collects, preserves and interprets stories, artifacts and documents for study and education.

“Our Sunday Pop Up Market is like a gathering of friends. We’ve kicked it up a notch by adding the Bloody Mary Sunday component. Now our guests can enjoy a fantastic Bloody Mary that complements our assortment of Italian foods while listening to some great music, and it’s all in support of a great local organization,” said Cullen.
