Bluesapalooza celebration to welcome back locals Sept. 20

Now that the summer crowds have ebbed and the school year is officially underway, Bethany Blues of Lewes is ready to celebrate and welcome back locals with its annual Bluesapalooza event.

The official off-season, welcome-back event for the local population is set for 5 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Bethany Blues Lewes location.

Jessica Nathan, Lewes director of operations, said, “Now that summer is past, it’s local time. If you haven’t been in to see our new renovations, it’s a great time to stop in, grab a drink, and just say hello!”

The event will spill into the parking lot, where Electric Velvet will be playing live, and there will be lots of food and drink specials, raffles and giveaways. Since September is Bourbon Heritage month, Bethany Blues will feature its bourbon and whiskey collection for the event, so be on the lookout for lots of great libations, and get details about the upcoming bourbon dinners happening during the off-season.

Juicy barbecue, great friends and the stellar atmosphere patrons have come to expect from Bethany Blues will all be all on full display. The event will raise money for Nemours Children’s Hospital in recognition of September as National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
