Bonnie Dickerson Chasanov passed away Monday, June 22, 2026, at the young age of 73. She fought hard against brain cancer and passed away peacefully with family by her side.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, William, Matthew, Shae (Corey DiLuzio) and Amy (David Powers); and her grandchildren, Drew Chasanov, Elizabeth Chasanov, Benjamin DiLuzio, Nathan DiLuzio, Joseph DiLuzio and Hersh Powers. She was predeceased by her brother, Carl “Butch” Dickerson; her parents, Carl Dickerson and Irene Dickerson; and her great friend, Connie Townsend. Her fierce and strong spirit will be dearly missed by her family and dear friends, especially Mike Thompson, David Mangler and Wayne Alberts.

Bonnie grew up in Lewes and graduated from Cape Henlopen High School. She was a successful hairdresser for many years and worked tirelessly in the retail industry. She loved her family and friends, her pets, Mexican food and Candy Kitchen's King Tut fudge.

A celebration of life will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, July 2, at Berry Short Funeral Home, 119 SW Front St., Milford. A private family gathering will take place afterwards, where margaritas will be ordered in her honor.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the team at Griswold Home Care and Delaware Hospice for their compassionate care.
