Broadkill Farmers Market debuts in Milton

Broadkill Farmers Market held its inaugural session May 28 at 116 Front St. on across from the fire hall on the riverbank in downtown Milton.
Eight vendors took part in the first market, proceeds from which will be donated to the Milton Fire Department.
Run by the Ladies Auxiliary of Milton Fire Department Station 85, the market continues from 4 to 7 p.m. each Friday through Sept. 24.

Parking is encouraged at the lot adjacent to the fire hall at the corner of Front and Chestnut streets.

This is a sampling of the breads and pastries available from Pasqualini’s Bakery in Rehoboth Beach.
A popular booth at the market was Nash Farms in Lincoln, which sold fresh produce such as lettuce, asparagus, kale and turnips.
