Browseabout to host bestselling authors Jane Green and Elin Hilderbrand June 24, 28

June 22, 2019

Browseabout Books welcomes back two popular summer beach read authors for events at the store. A happy hour in the store will be held for Jane Green at 5 p.m., Monday, June 24.

Green is the New York Times bestselling author of “The Sunshine Sisters” and “The Beach House.” Green’s latest book, “The Friends We Keep,” was just published. The book chronicles the lives of friends Evvie, Maggie and Topher, who set out to follow their dreams after graduating college. After 30 years of missteps and disappointments, the estranged friends find one another again - but a dark secret is revealed that could impact their happy reunion. No RSVPs are required for this free event.

Elin Hilderbrand will be signing her new book “Summer of ’69,” at 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 28, at the store. Earlier in the day, Hilderbrand will be speaking to a sold-out crowd at The Crab House. Hilderbrand is the author of 23 novels, including “The Island,” “Nantucket Nights” and “Summer People,” among others.

“Summer of ’69” follows 13-year-old Jessie, who is the only one of the Levin children to make the annual summer visit to their grandmother’s historic beach home on Nantucket. Her older siblings are caught up in their own lives and in the events that have grabbed the attention of the country - the civil rights movement and the Vietnam War. In her first historical novel, rich with the details of an era that shaped both a country and an island 30 miles out to sea, Hilderbrand proves she is the queen of the summer novel.

No RSVPs are required for the 6:30 p.m. book signing at Browseabout. For a complete list of author events, go to www.browseaboutbooks.com
