Brush Factory on Kings adds merchants, completes Market Room

Meet and Greet open house set Nov. 1
October 26, 2019

Several new businesses have joined The Brush Factory on Kings, bringing the total to 50 merchants and artists in its 830 Kings Highway location. There will be an open house from 3 to 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1, offering friends, neighbors and the public an opportunity to meet the new merchants and shop the dozens of local small businesses that make up The Brush Factory.

New arrivals include:

Ed Shockley - Ed is well known in Delaware as a singer and drummer, but he is also a collector of interesting things found around his hometown. A Lewes native whose family has been in the area since the mid-1800s, Ed has always had an eye for unique objects and a heart for all things Lewes-related.

Eric Gooch – Eric was born and raised in Lewes and has been pursuing his love of photography for the past 15 years. He is best known for his sports action shots of local athletes, which can be found on Facebook, WBOC, and in the Cape Gazette. Eric’s real passion, however, is his scenic and wildlife photography. One of Eric’s best-known photos, “Solace After a Storm,” shows a great blue heron photographed in Millsboro. It won Best in Show and first place in the Wildlife category in the October 2016 Delaware Beach Life magazine.

Hound Dogs - Find that unique something for a dog or cat lover right here. Vintage and new pieces, art and books, all about the animals people love! Look for the Dog House display and be ready to smile.

Rowe House Tile - Made by hand tiles with beautiful impressions of the nature all around. The glazing and textures make theses pieces really pop. From horseshoe crabs to Queen Anne’s lace, these are a favorite go-to for a thoughtful gift, and don’t forget the magnets – it might be hard to choose a favorite!

Peaches Great Goods - From refined to funky, all curated with Lisa Zechiel’s creative eye, from beautiful, vintage furniture to work aprons and bread mixes, Peaches has it covered. Shoppers will see The Brush staff wearing her aprons this fall.

Owner Christine Chura is also happy to announce that The Brush Factory Market Room has been completed. Many people who stopped by this summer enjoyed Ray’s Produce and Flowers, and now there are pumpkins! The Market Room also has art, architectural pieces, and garden treasures. The room is open all week, with full produce selection on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Regular hours at The Brush Factory on Kings are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
