Georgetown chamber welcomes VIP partner Perdue Farms

The Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce announced that Perdue Farms Inc. is a Preferred VIP Partner for 2019.

Security and fire alarm company B Safe expands

B Safe Inc., a regional provider of security and fire alarms to Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, publicly doing business as B Safe Security, has continued to expand with the acquisition of Securitech Inc. of Wilmington, and DC Security Systems of Toms River, N.J.

Carrier awards Comfort Plus Services excellence

Comfort Plus Services, an affiliate company of Tri Gas & Oil, was recently named a recipient of the 2019 President’s Award from Carrier.

The award provides recognition for outstanding dealers in the heating, ventilating and air-conditioning industry.

Law firm accepting donated children’s items through Aug. 1 

Procino-Wells & Woodland LLC, an elder law firm with offices in Lewes, Seaford and Berlin, Md., is participating in the 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer’s to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Procino-Wells and Woodland plans to hold a one-day children’s consignment resale from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Aug. 3, in its Berlin office. Through Thursday, Aug. 1, the firm is accepting donations from the community of gently used children’s items including any season children’s clothing through size 14 youth, children’s shoes up to size 5 youth, infant accessories and furniture, and children’s toys. Donations can be dropped off to any of the firm’s three office locations. Edward Jones highest in investor satisfaction

Financial services firm Edward Jones ranks highest in investor satisfaction with full-service brokerage firms, according to the J.D. Power 2019 U.S. Full Service Investor Satisfaction Study, the firm recently announced.

The study measures overall investor satisfaction with 18 full-service investment firms based on eight factors, including financial advisor, account information, investment performance, firm interaction, product offerings, commissions and fees, information resources and problem resolution. The firm scored 853 in overall satisfaction, 18 points above the industry average.

Edward Jones was ranked highest in investor satisfaction by J.D. Power in 2015 (tied), 2012, 2010, 2009, 2007-05, and in a tie in 2002, when the study began.
