Byrne best person to serve Rehoboth

August 10, 2018

As a full-time, permanent resident of Rehoboth Beach, I am asking my fellow residents to consider voting for Richard Byrne for city commissioner Saturday, Aug. 11. I have known Dick for almost six years. He is a friend, neighbor and my HOA president.

He is kind, intelligent and approachable. His resume speaks for itself, for in addition to his distinguished professional career, he has chosen to spend his retirement donating his time and intellect to various worthy causes throughout the community.

I have the distinct honor to work beside Dick as HOA secretary/treasurer. His commitment to ensuring the well-being of our fellow neighbors is commendable. In my career, I have served on various executive boards in my home state of Pennsylvania, and can honestly say, I have never worked with anyone more diligent in researching all possible avenues to ensure the greatest benefit to the most people than Richard Byrne. I can attest to the fact that a deadline does not go unmet, an issue does not go unresolved, and a suggestion does not go unheard.

He performs all his duties with enthusiasm and professionalism. He has many ties to this community, a vast set of resources and a strong desire to accomplish great things.

We, as conscientious residents of this amazing city, are extremely fortunate to have a candidate for city commissioner who not only has the desire to serve, but the knowledge and personal characteristics to do so with distinction. A man of character, a man of service, a lover of nature, animals and people, please consider casting a well-deserved vote for Richard Byrne!
