Byrne can foster positive relationships

July 20, 2018

Looking ahead to our retirement years, we were mindful of our history as a family of vacation trips to Rehoboth Beach. We purchased our home more than a decade ago, and established ourselves here on a full-time basis several years ago.

In making this decision, an important aspect that influenced our choice had to do with quality of life issues; and, for us, this translated to finding people who understood and valued the relationships with our neighbors and new friends.

One of the first individuals we encountered was Richard Byrne. Having learned about his background and experience, we have come to know him as someone who possesses the kind of leadership qualities that are beneficial to our community. If you take the time to get to know him, you will understand why we value his friendship and, further, why we appreciate the positive influence he has demonstrated for his adopted community here in Rehoboth Beach.

The personal characteristics that we have observed are that, in engaging in a variety of community programs and activities, he is one of the most respectful, thorough and responsible individuals we have ever encountered. And, perhaps most importantly, his motivation is that he has found multiple ways of service to others. We would describe his leadership style in this way: "it is not about him; it's about us."

His approach is focused on establishing and maintaining constructive relationships in which the operable question for him is: "Can we find ways to work together?"

We are confident that Byrne's presence among the leaders and decision makers will foster positive community relationships. The entire community will benefit from his insights and his efforts on our behalf.
