Byrne will be stellar commissioner

August 10, 2018

I write to express my support for Dick Byrne's candidacy for Rehoboth Beach commissioner in Saturday's election.

Though I now live in Lewes, for a number of years I was a neighbor of Dick's when he lived in a condo down the hall from me at the Ark on Rehoboth Avenue. I had the honor and pleasure of serving with Dick on the Ark Condominium Association Board of Directors. For two years I was the association president while Dick was the secretary.

I can describe Dick much the same way so many who know him have already done in previous letters - Dick is dedicated and honest. He is also even tempered and diligent in carrying out the responsibilities of his office. I have continued to work with Dick in volunteering for the Democratic Party. I served as the county chair and Dick served and currently serves as chair of the 14th Representative District. In that capacity he demonstrates the same traits I saw at the Ark. Our committee functions well largely due to his steady hand and the respect he shows for those with opposing views.

I have no doubt that, if elected, Dick Byrne will be a stellar commissioner and will well serve the people of Rehoboth Beach.

Mitch Crane, Esq.
