Byrne will bring inclusivity to Rehoboth

July 13, 2018

We are so fortunate that Richard (Dick) Byrne is willing to serve as Rehoboth Beach commissioner.

We first met Dick and his wife, Sherri Wright, in 2004, while living in the Ark and walking our dogs along Rehoboth Avenue. He immediately impressed us as a responsible, committed leader who, after retirement from an executive position with the University of Maryland, began investing his considerable expertise and compassion to benefit Rehoboth Beach humans, animals, and even trees.

He has volunteered with two Rehoboth Beach homeowners associations, two YMCAs, the SPCA, the Animal Issues Committee of the City of Rehoboth Beach, the Mayor's Advisory Committee on Trees, and elsewhere. We can't imagine a more trustworthy, compassionate, and open-minded leader.

Dick has our votes, and we hope he gains your endorsement and your readers' votes as well.
