CAMP Rehoboth Chorus to perform Seasons of Love April 28

April 9, 2019

The CAMP Rehoboth Chorus will present a final encore performance of Seasons of Love: Celebrating a Decade of Song, at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 28, at Sussex Academy in Georgetown.

In February, nearly 1,200 people attended the special Seasons of Love anniversary concert hosted by former NPR broadcaster Liane Hansen. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

One enthusiastic audience member said, “From Sinatra to Ireland, to cameos of Broadway favorites ... to rousing spirituals, the Beatles in review, and the disco era, the chorus moves from one genre to another with polished ease and constant smiles on their faces. They are having fun, and that spirit carries over to the audience.”

Going from the raucous rhythmic hand-clapping, foot-stomping "Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In" to a deeply moving and reverent solo of "You Raise Me Up,” the chorus displays its versatility, skill and enthusiasm. There was even a stirring salute to America, its armed forces, and the men and women who served.
