CAMP Rehoboth Fest Art 2021 virtual gallery talk set April 17

Fest Art 2021! is now on display at CAMP Rehoboth, 37 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach.

This exhibition, a community favorite held in conjunction with CAMP Rehoboth Women’s Fest, celebrates women in the arts and their supporters.

Noted artist and educator Joey P. Mánlapaz is the juror for this year’s exhibit. Mánlapaz, who holds a master’s degree in fine arts from George Washington University, is a contemporary realist painter, avid educator, compassionate art provider for the older community, noted curator and juror all rolled into one. She lives and works in Washington, D.C., the main subject of her canvases, which are widely recognized and collected, most notably by the nation’s capital that owns 43 paintings and prints.

A record number of submissions was received this year. Works by 29 artists were selected in a variety of mediums – painting, sculpture, photography, stained and fused glass art, and more.

Artists participating in Fest Art 2021! include Aaron Paskins, Anthony Casasanto, Beth Pile, Bev Morgan, Carol A. Yost, Carol Lazzara, Carolina Mayorga, Coca Silveira, Daniel Bartasavich, Dr Kaz, Sheila Exum, Geri Dibiase, Jane Knaus, Jeffrey Todd Moore, JuneRose Futcher, Mara Rago, Marta Nammack, Mary Gilligan, Nancy Allen, Nancy Powell, Pat Catanzariti, Rebecca Davidson, Rich Grote, Richard Thibodeau, Robert Fleming, Sharrill Dittmann, Yona Zucker, Susan Frey and Yvonne Frankis.

Several events are planned around the exhibit.

In a virtual gallery talk at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 17, juror Joey Mánlapaz will share her perspectives on the exhibition and the art selected, and answer questions.

Artist and activist Liz Bradbury, who presented at Women’s Fest 2019, is back to share Ten More Queer Women in Art and History Who Changed the World, a brand-new and hilarious presentation in a virtual format, at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 22.

Tours of the Fest Art! gallery exhibition will be held in conjunction with the handmade art market from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 24, in the CAMP Rehoboth Courtyard.
