CAMP Rehoboth to host Jane Knaus artist’s reception Jan. 12

CAMP Rehoboth will host Welcome to the Conch Republic, a solo art exhibition by local artist Jane Knaus, through Thursday, Jan. 31. An artist’s reception will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 12.

It may be cold outside, but it will be warm at this exhibition which features Knaus’ work from the tropical paradise of Key West, Fla. She is presenting about 20 paintings from her many visits there over the years. The artwork depicts the local scenery, a multitude of colorful seascapes, roosters, sunrises and floral images.

Knaus is a retired creative director from Montgomery County, Md. She has enjoyed painting for many years. Knaus earned her bachelor’s degree in fine arts at the University of California, Berkeley and her publication design certificate from George Washington University. She has exhibited in Europe as well as in the United States. A prize-winning graphic designer, Knaus is a member of the Rehoboth Art League and the Delaware Shore Artists Group.

The public is invited to CAMP Rehoboth, 37 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach, to view this exhibition and experience the Key West state of mind.
