Can the Eagles stay in first place?

November 6, 2020

On Sunday night, the Philadelphia Eagles were able to beat the struggling Dallas Cowboys by the score of 23-,9. It wasn't pretty that's for sure, but the defense played pretty well and overwhelmed the Cowboys quarterback Ben DiNucci who played so poorly that he won't be getting a second chance to start again this week. Speaking of quarterbacks, Carson Wentz HAS to do a better job for the Eagles to have any chance to make the playoffs this year. He needs to stop trying to be a hero and be willing to throw the ball away. Trying to create a touchdown on every play is not a ticket to win. This week is their bye week and then they play the New York Giants, who are in last place. The Giants have not fared well, but they will certainly take this game very seriously. And with how the Eagles like to torture us fans, I'm sure we will be holding our breath.

In golf, next week is the Masters, which has been rescheduled from its usual spot in April. This is one of my most favorite golf events every year. I'm looking forward to seeing how different it will be, not just in the appearance, but also how late in the season it's taking place and whether the weather conditions in November will affect play. I'm guessing the course will play a lot longer because if it's in the 50s or 60s, this has a big impact on the different grasses.

The defending champion is Tiger Woods, but I will be very surprised if he wins because he is playing quite poorly since the pandemic. He has never missed the cut at the Masters as a professional, and I'm hoping he at least plays well enough stay til Sunday. I'm very curious to see how Augusta National will look at this time of year without the amazing flowers blooming and no fans in attendance. No matter what, I look forward to watching all of it. I think Justin Thomas, Bryson DeChambeau and Rory McIlroy will be the favorites to win.
