Cape boys’ lax beats Tower Hill 18-3

Vikings to host unbeaten Smyrna April 17

The Cape boys’ lacrosse team ran the roster at Tower Hill April 15 on DeGroat Field, winning 18-3.

Cape led at the end of the first period 5-1 on four crank shots from Jack Dennis and a left-handed whipsaw from Blake Gipko.

The score grew to 9-1 at halftime as point man Luke D’Ambrogi kept finding cutters sailing right down Broadway. D’Ambrogi had five assists for the game.

Dennis led all scorers with four goals. He was followed by Gabe Best with three, Gipko and Robbie Rickenbach each with two, and single goals from Hank D’Ambrogi, Luke D’Ambrogi, Andre Currie, JP Heid and Mikey Frederick.

Adding to Luke D’Ambrogi’s five assists were Greg Boyce with two and single assists from Best, Finbar Rishko and Rickenbach.

Baxter Travers, Sean Griffith and Carson Kammerer each had two saves.

Cape improved to 7-1 on the season and will host Smyrna (7-0) at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 17.
