The Vikings freshman football squad’s defense stopped the Spartans freshmen on a two-point conversion attempt with 30 seconds left in the game to edge out a 32-30 victory over visiting Lake Forest on Oct. 17 at Legends Stadium.
Quarterback Hank D’Ambrogi had touchdown runs of 20 and 50 yards in the contest. Mekhi Smith also scored two touchdowns for the Vikings. Merek Harrigan-Ferro scored two conversions, and Ronniere Parker and Cameron Stigle each scored one conversion.
“It was a tough win,” said Cape coach Eddie Reese.
