The Cape Gazette takes in the Lake Iseo scenery
August 1, 2026
Jen and Pier Meager recently traveled to northern Italy. The Cape Gazette joined them at Lake Iseo, with Monte Isola in the background. It is the largest lake island in Italy and throughout southern and central Europe. Lake Iseo is fed by alpine waters, primarily from the Oglio River, which originates in the Camonica Valley in the Alps. That glacial source is what gives the lake its clear, deep blue color.
