Cape grapplers deck Polytech 53-14

The Cape Henlopen wrestling team defeated the Polytech Panthers Jan. 7 in Woodside 53-14, riding pins from Finbar Rishko, Andre Currie, Eduardo Saez, Chris Handlin, Billy Ott and Lucas Ruppert.
Jackson Handlin won by tech fall, while Mikey Frederick and Carson Kammerer won by decision.
Evan Harris of Polytech won a major decision at 170, while Kenel DeCembre won a major decision at 145.
The Vikings gave up a forfeit at 106, and the Panthers forfeited the 132-pound weight class.
Cape is scheduled to wrestle Smyrna at home on Wednesday, Jan. 9.
