Cape Henlopen Education Association thanks educators

November 10, 2020

As the president of the Cape Henlopen Education Association, I would like to thank all of the educators in the Cape Henlopen School District. As the first marking period comes to an end, I wanted to take the time to thank you for all of your hard work, dedication and positivity while teaching in this new “normal.” The COVID-19 pandemic created a lot of fears, challenges and uncertainty for many educators throughout the district; however, I must commend you on your efforts. As educators, you rose to the occasion; improvised, adapted and overcame all of the challenges we have been faced with since buildings closed in March. You have gone the extra mile to ensure the cleanliness of your learning environments for your students’ health and safety, and that is not going unrecognized. You are all gems!

Thank you again for your continued efforts to educate and keep our students safe to the best of your ability whether it is face-to-face or remote.

Lacey Brown
Cape Henlopen Education Association president
