Cape High students partner with Styled

January 24, 2020

Cape Henlopen High School students recently partnered with Styled, a local event planning business.

Students volunteered with members of the Styled team to help them prepare for a variety of events including the Harry K Ball held Dec. 14.

To prepare for the ball Dec. 10, Several students gathered Dec. 10 to help spray-paint greenery for the floral displays. Students also helped organize Christmas ornaments in preparation for holiday decorating.

“This is a great opportunity for our students to gain experience volunteering with a local business,” said John Nehrbas, a teacher at Cape Henlopen High School. “In addition to the experience they get working, they also learn and see what goes into planning major events. They love working with the ladies at Styled, and we’re grateful for the partnership.”

Styled is co-owned by Jessica Bain and Carly Miller. “We love having the high school students come and help us out,” said Bain.

“They always work hard and have really helped us prepare for major events,” said Miller. “They always have a smile, no matter what task we give them.”

Located in Lewes, Styled provides all-encompassing service for personal or corporate events, and seasonal design and decor. From floral arrangements to décor rental, lighting options and full-blown event planning, Styled offers a number of services for its clients.
