Cape hockey shuts out Indian River

Cape hockey ran the roster on the road down to Indian River Sept. 28, winning by an 11-0 shutout. 

The Vikings are 5-0, having outscored opponents 48-1.

The Vikings will host Smyrna (4-1) Thursday, Sept. 30, at Champions Stadium.

Mackenzie Brown had a career-high four goals, including three straight to start the third quarter. Noelle Sabbagh had a hat trick, while Reagan Ciabattoni tallied two, and Lily Ashby and Sommer Dorman each had one score. 

Assist leaders were Ciabattoni with two, and Hannah Maney, Ella Rishko and Casey Schnupp with one apiece. 

Cape outshot the Indians 25-3.

Caylee Schmidt had 14 saves for the Indians. Morgan Newcomb had 1 save for the Vikings.

The Cape JV team won 2-0. Kayla Sponaugle had both goals on assists from Lina Frederick and Lucy Mongeluzo.
