The new administrators, along with their new positions, include Matthew Keen, principal at Rehoboth Elementary; James "Jed" Bell, assistant principal at Cape High; Jennifer Chaffinch, assistant principal at H.O. Brittingham Elementary; and Chelsey Wharton, assistant principal at Lewes Elementary.
Recently retired Rehoboth Elementary School Principal Doris Person and soon-to-be-retired Lewes Elementary School Principal Kim Corbidge were also honored.
The recently re-elected school board members recognized were Janis Hanwell and Julie Derrick, both of whom ran unopposed.
The final recognition was for Ned Gladfelter, the district's director of human resources, who was just named the Delaware Association of School Administrators HR Director of the Year.
