Cape school board thanks Rep. Harvey Kenton

October 30, 2018

At its monthly meeting Oct. 25, the Cape Henlopen School Board recognized outgoing Rep. Harvey Kenton, R-Milford, who announced in February he would not be seeking re-election in Delaware’s 36th Representative District.

Cape Superintendent Bob Fulton said Kenton was a longtime supporter of the school district.

“He’s been a model for me, other administrators and the community in general,” Fulton said. “He cares about the community and students in Delaware, and always does what’s best for our kids.”

Kenton said he was honored to be recognized.

“I’m going to Del Tech to study agricultural business management,” said Kenton, who noted at age 77, he is 60 years older than his classmates are, and 10 years older than his professor.
