Cape senior Morgan Whittam awarded $1K art scholarship

Delaware Watercolor Society is committed to the support and promotion of high-quality art in the community.

For its $1,000 scholarship to aid a deserving student in the pursuit of a degree in fine arts, Morgan Whittam of Lewes was the ideal choice.

Since freshman year, Morgan used her artistic talents to creatively design costumes and set pieces for Cape’s International Thespian Troupe as well as the school’s theatre program. While Morgan’s first love is creating art, she also manages to maintain leadership roles in groups and organizations, and holds a management position at her workplace. She has been described by her counselors as awesome.

Morgan is passionate about her career choice. The challenge, satisfaction and excitement of technical theatre and design are why she wants to spend the rest of her life pursuing fine arts. Morgan will be attending Boston University’s College of Fine Arts School of Theatre.
