Cape shuts out Smyrna to win field hockey title
Fifth straight Division I title; 10th championship in last 11 years

The Cape Henlopen field hockey team defeated Smyrna 4-0 Nov. 20 at Dover High School to win its fifth straight Division I state title and 10th championship in the last 11 seasons.
Reagan Ciabattoni and Kelly Bragg opened the scoring, each finding the back of the cage in the first quarter.
Noelle Sabbagh, then Ciabattoni added the game’s final two goals to secure the championship.
The Vikings finished the state tournament outscoring opponents 22-1.
