Cape students see ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ on Broadway

December 24, 2018

More than 50 Cape Henlopen High School students went on a free trip to New York City Dec. 5 to see Aaron Sorkin’s Broadway play, “To Kill A Mockingbird,” based on the novel by Harper Lee. Four Cape English teachers accompanied the students to see the play they read in class come alive on the professional stage.

The generous community sponsors for the trip were the Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth Beach, Big Fish Charitable Foundation, Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation, Carl M. Freeman Foundation, Big Oyster Brewery, Right Balance Pilates and the Cape Community Fund.

The district extends special thanks to all who donated to this memorable educational experience.
