Cape unified flag football falls to Dover 36-32

October 4, 2018

The Cape Unified flag football team made its debut Oct. 2 on the turf of Legends Stadium against the Dover High School squad. The Senators finished on top 36-32.

The Cape players were pleased with their performance.

“The game went well,” said Cape running back Christian Partlow. “We kept it close. It was a good fun.”

“It went well considering it was our first game,” said Cape quarterback Brenna Lawson. “I haven’t actually played quarterback in a real football game before.”

“I think we did great,” said Cape head coach Jack Stang. “We haven’t had too much time to prepare, but we’re going to have more practices coming up. Everyone got to play on both sides of the ball, and everyone got to touch the ball. That’s what it’s all about. Everyone having fun.”

The Unified team will be back in action at Legends Stadium Tuesday, Oct. 23, with Seaford.
