Carol L. Murray, school cafeteria retiree
Carol L. Murray of Georgetown passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at Tidal Health in Salisbury, Md. Carol was the daughter of Noah J. and Georgia (Daisey) Collins.
Carol was the cafeteria manager of Sussex Central Junior High School when she retired in 2001. Her hobbies included going to the beach, shopping and traveling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Murray; four brothers, Carmel, Floyd, Robert and Paul Collins; and two sisters, Darlene Collins and Elsie Boyce.
She is survived by her children, Kelly Willing (Steve) and Shelly Wilson (Eddie); one sister, Betty Rust; two brothers, Donald, and Gerald Collins; four grandchildren, Jessica (Brian), Mindy, Seth and Shane (Kiana); and three great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Kamie and Luke and one on the way, Savannah; her fiancé, Gordy Swift; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 12:30 p.m., in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, and friends can visit after 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. Masks optional.
