Charlotte R. Clark, worked in banking

Charlotte R. Clark, 73, of Gumboro, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Friday, July 20, 2018, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was born Nov. 1, 1944, in Omar, daughter of the late Charles and Maggie (McCabe) Rogers. Charlotte was a graduate of John M. Clayton High School in Dagsboro.

Charlotte was employed in the banking industry for several years beginning with All First, then NCR and finally M&T Bank. After her career in banking, she began working in the cafeteria at East Millsboro Elementary School and Millsboro Middle School for a total of 11 years before retiring in 2007. Charlotte was a faithful member of Parkway Church of God in Salisbury, Md. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Viola Shockley, Betty Morris and Gladys Collins; and three brothers, Charles Rogers Jr., Alvin Rogers and Herman Rogers. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Donald L. Clark Sr.; three children, Robin Smith and her husband Brian of Gumboro, Sherry Hudson and her husband Russell of Omar, and Donald Clark Jr. of Millsboro. She is also survived by three grandsons, Timmy Hudson and his wife Candi of Smyrna, TJ Parkinson and his wife Amber of Laurel, and Jace Clark of Millsboro; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, where friends and family may call after 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Roxana Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Charlotte’s name to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
