CHEER hosts Military Honors and Patriot Day Celebration

The Warren L. and Charles C. Allen Jr. CHEER Community Center hosted the Celebrating Our Heroes 2018 Military Honor and Patriots Day Celebration Sept 11. Representatives from local veterans organizations and first responders set up displays and offered information to share with attendees.

Sitting at the front table are World War ll veterans U.S. Army Nurse Ellan Orkin and U.S. Army Infantryman Butch Kopera with Rep. David Wilson, R-Bridgeville. The veterans were on hand to share stories about their experiences in World War ll.
