CHEF chosen as beneficiary of MOMS Club Consignment Sale Oct. 13-14

September 23, 2018

The MOMS Club of Coastal Delaware has selected the Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation as the charitable financial beneficiary to receive proceeds from its 13th annual Children’s Consignment Sale. The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, and 8 to 11 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 14, in the Cape Henlopen High School gymnasium in Lewes. Most items will be half price on Sunday.

CHEF is a registered 501c3 organization that seeks to inspire learning and prepare all students for healthy, productive lives in a diverse and global society. CHEF helps teachers and staff provide multiple opportunities for students in the school district. Funds from the consignment sale will be used for students in need in the Cape Henlopen School District. Projects may include: purchasing supplies for homeless students; providing clothes, shoes, and hygiene products for low-income students; subsidizing trips and school experiences for students in need; giving teacher grants to support performing arts opportunities for students; and purchasing materials for social/emotional experiences such as Gentleman’s groups for students who may benefit from a positive male role model.

The MOMS Club of Coastal Delaware is an organization dedicated to supporting mothers who have chosen to stay at home during their child’s infancy and early childhood. Through meetings, service projects, and activities, mothers have the opportunity to share parenting information and develop lasting friendships. All MOMS Club meetings and most activities are held during the day, so mothers may bring their children. The local chapter, which serves women from Lewes, Milton, Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, Harbeson, Millsboro and Georgetown, is just one of more than 1,800 chapters of the MOMS Club across seven countries.
