June 10, 2020

The Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation has elected two community leaders, Tracy Burton Zigman and Joseph Lingo, to three-year terms on its board of directors.

Burton Zigman was born and raised in Lewes and is a 1988 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School. She received a bachelor of administration degree with a concentration in marketing from Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington. She is currently head of key strategic digital partnerships for TD Bank Retail Card Services.

Lingo has been a teacher in the Milford and Cape Henlopen school districts for nearly 28 years and is currently a fourth-grade teacher at H.O. Brittingham Elementary School. A Sussex County native, Lingo graduated from the University of Delaware and earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from Wilmington University. He is also a realtor with Patterson Schwartz.

"Our new board members bring impressive leadership credentials and skill sets to the CHEF organization," said CHEF President Rick Grier-Reynolds. "We welcome their assistance in helping us provide educational resources to the students and teachers of the Cape Henlopen School District."

CHEF has been a nonprofit strategic partner of the Cape Henlopen School District since 2007. For the latest information about how CHEF is providing Cape students in kindergarten through 12th grade with the tools they need to excel in school and life, go to www.chef-cape.org.
