The Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation annual Winter Jam fundraiser – this year themed ‘It Takes a Village’ – will be held from 7 to 11 p.m., Friday, Jan. 19, at the Rusty Rudder restaurant in Dewey Beach.

Jack Lingo Realtor is the Village CEO Presenting Sponsor at the $8,000 level.

All funds raised will benefit educational programs at Cape Henlopen School District schools, including teacher grants for unbudgeted classroom projects, STEM initiatives, performing arts education and training, programs to promote diversity and inclusion, and support for limited-income students.

"Winter Jam has become an annual reunion event, and we invite the entire community to join us for an evening of delicious food, great dance music and auction items with wide appeal," said CHEF President Jeff Gordon. "This year, Winter Jam has 38 sponsors, more than ever before, which is a reflection of the generosity of our local businesses and their desire to support our Cape schools."

Dogfish Head Brewery is a Village Role Model sponsor at the $5,000 level. The iHeartMedia organization is the media sponsor. Village Rainmaker sponsors at $2,000 are Big Fish Charitable Foundation, Richard Y. Johnson & Son General Contractors, Macintosh Engineering, and Schell Brothers. Hosting Winter Jam is the Rusty Rudder restaurant.

Village Lamplighter $1,000 sponsors are Advantech, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices/Gallo Gives Foundation, Coastal Lawn and Landscaping, Hyett Refrigeration, Johnson Orthodontics, One Call Services, and TetraTech. Musical entertainment will be provided by area favorite Love Seed Mama Jump, and The Stims, a local band with an eclectic blend of songs featuring soulful vocals and tight harmonies. The feel-good pop rock group Love Seed, first formed in 1992, has released four albums and has a strong fan base on the East Coast.

Silent auction items include original artwork and photography donated by local artists and art teachers from the Cape District; a Gift Card Tree with items from area restaurants, stores and boutiques; and a Wine Pull with wines of various vintages and prices for a $20 contribution.
