Choppy waters for East of Maui SUP Sprint Challenge

The East of Maui Standup Paddleboard Sprint Challenge took to the bay Aug. 15 at Northbeach in Dewey Beach, where 16 entrants paddled on the choppy bay waters, fighting against a stiff wind to claim medals and prizes from East of Maui Surf Shop. The event concluded with complimentary dinner buffet for Summer Vibes Fest participants, live music, and Art In The Yard with the Dewey Artist Collaboration.
The event was a part of the Summer Vibes Fest, a multi-day festival highlighting the Southern Delaware beach culture and summer spirit through skimboarding, skateboarding, standup paddleboarding, music and art.
