Classes to explore mind-body healing begin Oct. 10

Dr. Krista Griffin to teach practical skills
September 29, 2018

A new class series to teach practical skills on how to harness the power of the mind to heal the body will be offered from 9 to 11 a.m., Wednesdays, Oct. 10, 17 and 24, at Lewes Public Library. Dr. Krista Griffin has created a three-week Level 1 course that lays out the science behind the mind-body connection and offers exercises to apply the knowledge. Each two-hour class module includes a research-based technique that is taught then practiced within the group.

“It’s a great way to fill the gap that exists right now in medicine. There are providers to adjust you, massage you, give you a prescription, but all of these modalities relinquish the power of healing to something outside of the person. This program fills the void by giving the patient an active role in healing themselves,” said Griffin. “It is my goal to have every person finish Level 1 with the knowledge of how thoughts affect their biology and what they can do to start the process of healing their bodies and their lives. They leave with a road map to show the way.”

Level 1 lays the foundation for thoughts as chemistry, and emphasizes attention and intention. Level 2 will go deeper and address the impact one’s internal state is having not only on one’s own life but on others around them and the community at large. Cost for the Level 1 series is $120.
