Clear Space members to guest bartend at Crooked Hammock April 17

March 30, 2019

Crooked Hammock Brewery will host guest bartenders from Clear Space Theatre Company from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 17.

Clear Space Theatre representatives will be working behind the bar to earn tip donations throughout the evening. Monies raised will go toward the arts institute program at Clear Space Theatre. More than 700 students have participated in the arts institute, many through scholarships made available by fundraisers like this one.

Musical performances from Clear Space Theatre actors, including songs from the summer repertory, will take place throughout the evening. Patrons can participate in a drawing every half hour to win two tickets for a 2019 Clear Space Theatre show.

Guest bartender pairs competing for the most tips during their shift include: Wesley Paulson, CST executive director, and Sydney Gray, CST company manager and actor; Nancy Curry, CST actor and educator, and Stephanie Whitcomb, CST director of development; Ryan Rainey, CST board member, and Tony Hruza; Donna West, CST board vice chair, and Judy Rayner, CST Producers Circle; Chris Berg, former CST board chair, and Terry Kistler; and Jacob Waldron and Autumn Schneider, CST actors.

Crooked Hammock is no stranger to the arts. Last year, Clear Space Theatre was the recipient of its Beers for Broadway fundraiser, a three-month community outreach program. In 2018, Crooked Hammock’s efforts raised  more than $7,000 for the local theater group.

“We are very excited to work with Clear Space again, and help spread the word of the wonderful programs they have to offer to individuals well beyond the downtown Rehoboth area,” said Erica Wiegman, marketing manager of La Vida Hospitality, the local operating group that owns the brewery.

Crooked Hammock brewery is at 36707 Crooked Hammock Way, Lewes, and is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.

Clear Space Theatre is a nonprofit regional theater serving residents and visitors to southern Delaware since 2004. Clear Space performs 13 shows during its season and has year-round performing arts education classes for children and adults. Clear Space is at 20 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach.
