Coast Guard auxiliarists to meet at Milford Elks Lodge Feb. 14

February 11, 2019

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary has announced that volunteer members of Flotilla 12-03 will begin meeting at the Milford Elks Lodge No. 4201, effective 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 14.

Flotilla Commander Tom Roberson said, “As our training and boating safety programs have grown, we’ve been able to attract more good people. We simply outgrew the available space at the Search and Rescue Detachment in Bowers Beach.”

A search for larger facilities led members to contact the Milford Elks Lodge. The Elks were eager to share their facilities in the interest of improving recreational boating safety for their members and the public at large.

“Since our new location is closer and more convenient for the public, we hope to provide even better support to the local community,” said Mike Geletej, Flotilla 12-03 public affairs officer. The address is 18951 Elks Lodge Road, Milford.
