Kristi Odom will present Showing Motion in a Single Frame Feb. 26. Odom will show techniques on how to use motion as part of the narrative.

“The world moves fast; photography lets us grab fractions of a second that we get to keep forever. But what if we want to show the movement, the life, the chaos – how do we do that in a single frame?”

Topics she will cover include image stacking, daylight long exposure, multiple exposures, intentional camera movement and introduction to time lapse.

An internationally acclaimed photographer, a Nikon Ambassador and an associate fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers as well as a motivational speaker, Odom has a background in sports, concerts and wedding photography. Now she works solely on her biggest passion, which is wildlife. As a photographer and filmmaker, her work focuses on connecting people emotionally to animals and celebrating those who have a connection to the natural world.  Her images have appeared at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and in National Geographic, Nikon, Forbes, Rolling Stone, Microsoft and Outside magazine publications.

Joe Brady will present Creating Landscape Photographs Feb. 26.

Landscape photography can be a great challenge, but is also among the most rewarding photo activities, said Brady. “There are many elements to creating a great photograph, but in many cases we start at a disadvantage because our cameras don’t see light and color the way our eyes do.”

During his presentation, Brady will explore how composition, color and light can all come together to create images that draw the viewer into the scene. Using both Lightroom and Photoshop, he will take raw captures to shape the light, and color and crop to transform the images into print-worthy photographs.

Brady is a full-time professional photographer, educator, author, photo workshop leader and studio owner. He is a sought-after speaker delivering inspirational and instructional talks at photo events around the U.S. and Europe.

Brady’s YouTube photography how-to videos now total over 3.5 million views to date. His image-editing software training classes have been favorites among photographers learning to shape and enhance their raw images.
