Collick has a consistent track record

May 10, 2019

I am writing this letter to cheer for Bill Collick for a seat on the Cape Henlopen school board! Known to Cape School District as an educator and encourager, Bill Collick fits the “bill” for this prestigious seat! With a history at Cape, Sussex Tech, Delaware State University, James H. Groves and Rehoboth Elementary, these diverse educational settings enable Bill to make a meaningful connection with students, parents, teachers, administrators and local citizens!

I first met Mr. Collick at Cape Henlopen High School when I became the Health Career Pathway Instructor in 2012. He recognized my last name, recollecting his connection with my mother-in-law at Delaware State University.

Every wonderful thing that she told me of Bill became a reality to me as I watched him interact with Cape students. His commitment to students, promoting integrity in academics and personal growth, was and still is evident in his compassionate reaching out as a mentor, educator, advocate and supporter in not only education, but sports and personal endeavors.

There is no better candidate to foster an environment that encourages respect, integrity and taking responsibility for one’s actions, and to meet the standard for high expectations and dedication to  assisting students and teachers, in my opinion! Bill Collick has a consistent track record for working hard and maintaining a vision of excellence, for Cape Henlopen School District and especially for our future generations.
