Commissioner-elect Gay thanks voters

August 23, 2019

Wow! I am overjoyed by the results of the Aug. 10 municipal election in Rehoboth Beach, and honored by the confidence that citizens have in me to represent you as a city commissioner.

I have enjoyed getting to know many of you this summer, and I look forward to working for you, starting Sept. 20.

This election showed a clear mandate for fair and equitable treatment of our citizens, transparency in our government, and a vision to retain the special sense of place that makes Rehoboth Beach so unique and successful as both a resort and a community.

The coming year is a critical time for Rehoboth, as it will likely see the development of several major commercial projects as well as the completion of the 2020 Comprehensive Development Plan, which will lay the groundwork for what the city will look like for the next 10 years and beyond.

I look forward to working with my fellow commissioners and Mayor Kuhns to make Rehoboth Beach the best it can be.

Susan Gay
commissioner-elect Rehoboth Beach
