Community Bank Delaware presented a $1,000 donation to the Community Resource Center in support of its upcoming annual Building Bridges fundraising event set for 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, Oct. 2, at Kings Creek Country Club, Rehoboth Beach.
The Community Resource Center provides support services to Sussex County residents in need. Last year the Rehoboth-based center handed out more than 54,000 bags of free food, supplied baby essentials to 750 families, prevented utility cutoffs and evictions for 350 families, and hosted 3,000 visits for individuals seeking relief from extreme weather.
