County Bank donates $500 to Rehoboth Beach Fire Co.

Sandi Walker, assistant vice president of County Bank, presented a $500 donation to the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Co. March 26 at its station on Rehoboth Avenue in downtown Rehoboth Beach.

The fire company members proudly serve Rehoboth Beach and surrounding communities. Its other two fire stations are on Airport Road and John J. Williams Highway.

County Bank encourages the public to support the fire company through giving, membership and volunteering.

To share information with prospective volunteers, the department will hold an open house at all its stations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 27.

Kent Swarts, RBVFC public information officer, said, “The fire company is in need of new volunteers to help in all areas including firefighting, administrative and support duties. We need help in two areas, volunteers and funding, and we sincerely appreciate the donation and continued support of County Bank.”
