Court notices never sent to about 9,500 people
November 10, 2017
Nearly 9,500 notices that were supposed to be mailed scheduling people to appear in court were never sent.
The Notices to Appear for criminal cases in Delaware Court of Common Pleas were not mailed from June 1 to Oct. 3, said Sean O'Sullivan, spokesman for the courts.
Delaware's Department of Technology and Information processes, prints and mails notices, he said. The department is investigating the cause and scope of the problem.
Anyone whose case may have been affected, can go to the Court of Common Pleas website at https://de.gov/notice to check.
