The Women's Club of Milton has selected Anne Buck’s watercolor “Tis the Season” for the cover of its 2019 Holiday House Tour book.

The painting was chosen by tour committee members during the Holly Days Show held by the Milton Arts Guild at the Studios on Walnut in Milton. The Milton Arts Guild has been an integral partner with the annual holiday house tour, and the studio has been included on the tour for the past four years.

Anne Buck has served as president of the Milton Arts Guild for the last three years. She lives in Lewes, and she taught for the Cape Henlopen School District for nearly 20 years. She currently teaches watercolor for adults and students. She received her bachelor’s degree in ornamental horticulture and landscape design, and a master’s degree in biology education. She has studied with nationally recognized artists such as Mary Whyte, Charles Reid, and Alvaro Castagnet, among others. She is also a member of the Delaware Watercolor Society, the Rehoboth Art League and the Millsboro Art League.

Buck is passionate about plein air painting and participates in the Children’s Beach House plein air event and the Plein Air Painters of the Mid Atlantic. The Women’s Club of Milton members are honored to have Buck’s artwork grace the holiday house tour cover and other publicity this year.

The Women's Club of Milton will hold its annual holiday house tour Saturday, Dec. 14. The tour showcases the historic town of Milton and its architecture, with many private homes and several public buildings all beautifully decorated for the holiday season. The tour is a fundraiser for the charitable and educational initiatives of the Women's Club of Milton.

The club is a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, a nonprofit organization whose members are unified by the common desire to serve the community through volunteer service and fundraising to enrich the lives of others. All are welcome. For more information, go to www.womensclubofmilton.org.
