Crooked Hammock guest bartender night to benefit Clear Space March 25

March 15, 2020

Crooked Hammock Brewery off Kings Highway in Lewes will host its Second Annual Guest Bartender Night for Clear Space Theatre Company from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 25.

Clear Space Theatre board members, performers, staff and patrons will serve as bartenders to earn tip donations during the evening. Monies raised will go toward the arts institute theatre education programs at Clear Space Theatre. More than 900 students have participated in the arts institute, many through scholarships supported by fundraisers like this one.

Musical performances from Clear Space Theatre actors will be highlighted all evening.

Guest bartenders competing for the most tips during their shift include: returning 2019 Guest Bartender Champions Donna West and Laura Mason, Clear Space board members; Nancy Curry and Autumn Schneider, Clear Space actors and educators; Peter Pizzolongo and Peter Keeble, Clear Space Producer’s Circle members; Joelle Genevish, Clear Space Producer’s Circle member, and Kim Hutchinson; Alan Krisfalusi, Clear Space actor, and Paul Navarro; and David Button, Clear Space artistic director, and Melanie Bradley, Clear Space music director.

In 2018, Clear Space Theatre was the beneficiary of Crooked Hammock’s Beers for Broadway, a three-month community outreach program that raised more than $7,000.

“Last year, the first guest bartending event held with Clear Space at our brewery raised close to $2,500. We’re hoping to double that number for the local theatre this year. It’s always a great time working these guys; they really show up for the community and have a lot to offer," said Erica Wiegman, Crooked Hammock Brewery brand and marketing manager.
