Discounts offered on Tuesdays
October 13, 2018

Rehoboth Beach newcomer Cuvée Ray is getting into the off-season spirit, rolling out its new Wines of the World wine dinner education course along with a number of off-season events and specials. Owner Ray Kurz said, “Each dinner is an intimate multi-session journey through wines and foods of the major wine regions of the world which will take place in the Cuvée Ray private dining wine room.”

The first dinner will be Wednesday, Oct. 24, and will focus on what Kurz identifies as the epicenter of all things wine – France. Other Wines of the World dinners will include the wine regions of Italy, Spain, New Zealand and Australia, the U.S. and other areas. The change in seasons has also brought about changes in the menu at Cuvée Ray. As with the debut summer menu, the fall menu is integrally tied to Cuvée Ray’s extensive wine program.

Cuvée Ray Executive Chef Joe Churchman said, “My first step in creating any menu at Cuvée Ray is to focus on various wine choices for inspiration. Having so many incredible wines provides me with a tremendous amount of creative freedom to prepare an exciting wine-centric menu.”

A centerpiece of the fall menu lineup will be Thursday’s Cuvée Ray Experience $45 Wine Paired dinner. Kurz said, “The Cuvée Ray Experience wine pairing dinners go the heart of what we do at Cuvée Ray, creating a truly one-of-a-kind wine and food experience in a beautifully decorated upscale but relaxed setting. Chef Joe is really at his best when pairing his exquisite cuisine with our fantastic selection of wines from all over the globe.”

Kurz said the Cuvée Ray Experience dinner is just one part of the fall food specials lineup at Cuvée Ray. Other specials include Wednesday Wild Game Night featuring Chef Joe’s creative take on game such as quail, rabbit and lamb, among others. Friday Flight Nights will feature $15 wine flights. As a tip of the hat to the cocktail program created by Cuvée Ray mixologist/bar manager Rob Bagley, Cuvée Ray will offer 25 percent off all cocktails on Sunday nights.

Kurz also noted that Tuesday nights, a discount of 25 percent will be taken off the entire check, and yes, that does cover any and all alcohol including any of the 170 wine choices.
