Dash to Milton Farmers Market Sept. 28

Oktoberfest event planned for Oct. 5
September 26, 2018

Visitors who are scoping out Milton and the Dogfish Head Craft Brewery ahead of the weekend’s Dogfish Dash Sunday, Sept. 30, won’t want to miss the Milton Farmers Market at the same site from 3 to 6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 28.

The market takes place every Friday at 6 Village Center Blvd. in Milton. Market vendors will be next to the tents set up for race day.

There are 20 vendors and food trucks as regulars at the weekly market, located in the heart of eastern Sussex County a short drive from Georgetown, Milford, Lewes and Rehoboth Beach. Visitors will find the best Delmarva has to offer – from locally raised fruits and vegetables to homemade pastries, artisanal soaps, organic meats, Alaskan-caught salmon, kettle corn and fudge. Local musician Matt Lafferty will perform Sept. 28.

An Oktoberfest event at the Oct. 5 market will feature fall offerings and pumpkin carving. Each Friday’s market features live musical performances, and the Oktoberfest music will be provided by Hooverville, which offers classic rock, blues and country.

For Thanksgiving provisions, the Harvest Market is set for Nov. 16. Entertainment will be by Slinging Daises, which delivers barefoot soul music.
