Daughters of the American Revolution install officers

June 25, 2019

At its May 11 meeting, the Colonel David Hall Chapter, NSDAR, installed new officers who will serve a three-year term.

The chapter also awarded Lana Browne, chair of the American Heritage Committee, a certificate for her outstanding leadership. Under her direction, the committee created a wall-hanging that was designed to preserve the intertwined stories of the chapter’s namesake patriot, Colonel David Hall, and that of the Maull family, Revolutionary patriots whose descendants were the longtime owners of the historic Maull House, now the property of the chapter.

Cape Henlopen High School senior Macy Beach was also awarded a certificate and monetary award as the chapter's winner of the DAR Good Citizen Contest.

The NSDAR is a service organization for women who have descended from a patriot who served in the American Revolution. The group is dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and securing America's future through education.
